LAMBORGHINI ASTERION LPI 910-4 (CONCEPT)
The Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 is the first demonstration of plug-in hybrid technology of the company. Part man, part bull. Part intellect, part instinct. The Lamborghini Asterion is inspired by a legend, Asterion is the proper name of the mythical Minotaur. This car has a 4 wheel drive system, front wheels are driven by electric motors and a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox helps it to touch the vanishing point with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) and in electric mode 125 km/h (78 mph). Lamborghini Asterion has a lightweight body of aluminium and carbon fiber, which helps it to touch 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds. It has a powerful V10 aspirated engine with selective IDS +3 electric motors. The modern and different kind of style chosen for the interior of the Asterion reflects the characteristics of the exterior. The two seats inside are positioned higher than the usual in Lamborghini super sports cars and allows a comfortable daily driving experience and is also great during extreme performance and handling. The use of leather in Bianco Celaeno (ivory) and Marrone Attis (brown) shows a great match with the luxurious driving experience of the Asterion. The Asterion can handle driving only under electric power, but for those who want more than that and are looking for more excitement can also enjoy the unique driving experience of a pure Lamborghini with the aspirated V10 engine. The look of the exterior, the curves, and the unique color of the Asterion expresses the technology within it. Designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the Asterion is undoubtedly a pure Lamborghini, but it is different from the brand's current and main line of exotic super sports cars. Lamborghini Asterion is the sneak peak of the future. In future power will not mean the same as now, and Asterion is the perfect example of that. With a innovative appearance that emphasizes the curves and sensuality Lamborghini has secured its place in the future. Its not just a car, it's a technology demonstrator.
